Breeze Against My Skin
“Does Sara recognize I’m waiting to speak?
She’s busy seeking for the remedy
I provided last week,”
“At last a pause, I can speak after all!”
I'm the air you inhale,
the breeze brushing
gently against your skin.
I heard when you prayed
the first time.
I need you to believe when,
you ask in my name you
shall receive…….but
Will you remain for my,
perfect time? Or continue
too criticize.
Do you know who I am?
Alpha Omega the
Beginning and the end,
The first and the last
I’m the air you inhale,
the breeze brushing gently
against your skin my,
blood covers all sin.
Remain for my divine time,
Or will you continue
to criticize?
I’m the air you inhale
I’m the air you inhale
Faith-Walk
The past is all around me,
eating with me,
dwelling with me,
while I try to hold onto a word
“You are free from the mistakes of your past.”
Do you want to know how I am winning this fight?
I walk by faith and not by sight.
When I feel trapped like a caged bird
I meditate on the blood of Jesus,
and I am instantly set free.
Thank you for freedom,
Thank you for total deliverance of the past,
Thank you for a clean spirit,
Thank you for the present and the future.
One might ask the question,
How can you give thanks when you are still trapped in the past?
I can smile and say my flesh maybe here,
but my spirit knows what it is like to feel liberated.
In due season if I faint not
you will look for my flesh
“Where is she”, you will ask?
My flesh and spirit will unite
I will be gone from this stronghold like a thief in the night.
You see God gave me a snapshot of my future;
It’s too bright to give up this fight,
I walk by faith and not by sight.
Hold onto the word God gave you,
when Satan sends his demons to attack you in the middle of the night.
With the blood of Jesus, I guarantee you will win every fight.

Test and Rewards
Let’s go for a walk to a sacred place;
reach out your hand relax just follow me.
She led me down a long white corridor
into a very large room, the sign on
the wall simply stating, The Gifts.
The ambiance created gave me a
sense of peace, soon I could not
help to notice the beautiful boxes
covered in wrapping paper,
sparkling like rubies, emeralds, sapphires.
To my surprise every present was
sealed with my name in what,
appeared to be red ink.
The angel began to speak,
“God deals with his children
through test and rewards
you have one more test
to pass, then the
Heavenly Father
will release
the gifts.”

Maya Angelou Dies at 86
"If you have only one smile in you, give it to the people you love." Maya Angelou
Today we lost a very special jewel, author poet, Maya Angelou, she leaves behind a great legacy, through her many poems and quotes. I have many favorites from this phenomenal woman; her autobiography titled" I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings", touched my life in so many ways.
Here's a few quotes from Maya Angelou:#
"If you have only one smile in you, give it to the people you love."
The truth is, no one of us can be free until everybody is free."
"I'm a woman Phenomenally."
"Nothing can dim the light which shines from within."
Rest in Peace, Thanks for sharing your gift with the world.

August 1979
August, 1979
Pandemonium describes that day,
a family torn, broken apart.
The Judge hitting the gavel,
“Screaming order, order in the court!”
It was your response that would change,
the lives of everyone in that courtroom.
Three little girls down the hall,
were just minutes away from
becoming orphans, wards of the
state, but they could never imagine,
they just kept playing…….
You walked down that hall
directly towards us,
You looked directly into my
eyes, the words you spoke,
let’s just say they’re embedded
in my memory.
“Take care of your sisters and don’t let them
straighten your hair.”
You walked away; I became a ward of the state,
an orphan, August 1979.

Geriatric Pregnancy
Geriatric Pregnancy
I was watching an interview with Halle Berry yesterday, talking about her pregnancy at age 47. I was intrigued by the term used to describe her pregnancy. Apparently if you're blessed with a bundle of joy after age 35 the medical term used is geriatric pregnancy. A geriatric pregnancy is a term of the past, this term came around in the 1970's, during the 70's if a woman was pregnant at age 35 or older, she was considered elderly. In the 20th century many women are starting families later in life, 20 percent of women after the age of 35 start families.
I was 38 when I gave birth to my daughter. I'm a mother of two children; I waited until I got married to have my second child. I had my son at age 21, being a mother of a small toddler at age 41 brings me so much joy. I could never imagine accepting a term geriatric pregnancy if I decided to have another child. When I think of geriatrics, I think of nursing homes and the elderly. I don't think of myself or Halle Berry. I would have to say the term geriatric pregnancy is a term that should stay in the past.
I would like to congratulate all fabulous mothers 35 and older.
